Not agreeing, and staying in it.

Sometimes the honest answer is: I don't accept this, and I'm not going anywhere. Silence can be read as agreement. A short, calm letter on the record says otherwise.

Step by step

  1. Say what you don't accept, in a sentence. Your words, not a template's.
  2. Point to the record, not to how you feel about it.
  3. Say that you remain willing to talk, if you are.
  4. Don't set deadlines or threaten next steps. From the person answering, that reads badly, and it starts an argument about the deadline instead of the facts.

The letter for this

“Not agreeing, and staying in it” holds the facts from your record. The sentence that says what you don't accept is left for you to write.
