How we write these
Every guide and worked example on BuildMyEvidence is written and reviewed by the BuildMyEvidence editorial team.
The worked examples use made-up people and made-up amounts. No real person’s case is ever used. The way the records are built is the real part.
We never pick a side. Half the worked examples are written from the side answering the claim.
We don’t say who was right, name laws, quote deadlines or say what anyone is owed. That changes from state to state and from case to case, and it’s a lawyer’s job, not ours.
Every page shows when it was published and when it was last reviewed. When something changes, the reviewed date changes with it.
