Why this exists
Most people in a dispute are not short of facts. They are short of a way to hold them. The messages are on the phone, the photographs are in the camera roll, the dates are in the calendar, and none of it is in a form anybody else can read.
Professionals have had tools for this for decades. Everybody else has a folder on the desktop and a memory that gets less reliable every week.
BuildMyEvidence is a place to put it: what happened, when, and what supports it. One dated record, one document at the end.
What it does not do
This matters as much as what it does.
It does not tell you whether you will win. It does not give legal advice, name laws, or tell you what your deadlines are. It does not read your record and form a view about it. It does not decide anything.
You write what happened. The app records when you wrote it and keeps it in order. Every entry in the finished file came from you; BuildMyEvidence adds only headings, numbers, dates and counts.
How the writing is checked
Every public page on this site is checked automatically before it can be published. The checks block:
- Promises about how a dispute will turn out, and the handful of words people use to make a document sound more official than it is.
- Any named law or statute, and any claimed legal deadline.
- Percentages, and any price other than the real one.
- Any claim about what the app does that does not match what the app does.
That last one is the important one. Claims about what the app does are kept in a register, each with the check that makes it true, and pages are checked against it.
Who it is for
Anybody keeping a record of something that matters: a tenant, a landlord, a contractor, a customer, a parent, an employee, somebody answering a complaint and somebody making one. The method is the same from either side, which is why the site is built from both.
What it costs
Recording is free, for as many cases as you need. Reading your case file is free. When you want to download it, it's $59 once per case — every document, every format, for good.
